You can park at the carpark and follow the paved path to the lookout, or take some time to stretch your legs by walking down Gibson Steps to the beach. Descending these 86 stairs carved into the cliff face, you are treated to a close-up view of these incredible rock formations. Three minutes further along the Shipwreck Coast, you will find Loch Ard Gorge, a glistening inlet of striking blue water surrounded by sheer sandstone cliffs. Beyond the town of Port Campbell, stop at London Bridge and The Grotto for more stunning sights and photo opportunities. Continue to explore the coastal city of Warrnambool, where you may be lucky enough to spot southern right whales calving off Logan Beach if travelling between May and October. Stop at the city's famous Blue Lake and the Umpherston Sinkhole to marvel at its sunken terrace gardens. Right in the centre of town, visit the Cave garden/ Thugi and view the sinkhole from the viewing platforms. You may wish to grab a bite to eat at one of the many delicious cafes and restaurants in town, before hitting the road again. Tantanoola Caves Conservation Park is another great stop. Here, you may wish to purchase tickets (approximately $15.50pp) to enter and explore the cave at your leisure. Afterwards, continue on the Southern Ports Highway, where you may wish to make a slight detour to the small coastal town of Beachport. With incredible aquamarine waters, beautiful white sand beaches and amazing swimming spots, Beachport is a great town to visit on your way to Robe. From here, it is another 30 minutes to your final destination for the day, Robe.Robe: A charming town on the Limestone Coast of South Australia just 90 minutes from Mt Gambier, Robe is a bustling and chic summer hotspot.
